PACIFIC PATTERNS
Patterns for the Pacific—
Government Design Work
Role: Pattern Design, Illustration
Tools: Illustrator
I was commissioned to create a suite of floral-based patterns for use in official documents and reports for the Pacific government. Moving away from traditional tapa cloth designs, I chose to take a more modern, graphic approach while still drawing inspiration from native flora. Each pattern is based on a specific flower found throughout Pacific islands: Gardenia, Breadfruit, Chrysanthemum, and Tiger Lily. The final designs were versatile, culturally rooted, and contemporary — ideal for both print and digital applications.
